And these guys certainly know what they are doing. From impeccable table service, to the extensive cocktail list itself, arranged in chronological order no less, the entire experience is assured to whet the taste buds and inspire some burlesque style misbehaviour. The drinks menu is a veritable history lesson, packed full of interesting titbits regarding the origin of each mouth-watering concoction.
Everything form the old world glamour of a Mint Julep or a Blue Blazer, right up to the 90's darling of the Cosmopolitan (thanks Carrie and co) is present and correct, with the exhaustive list ensuring that, no matter your personal preferences, you won't be walking away from this swanky bar with quite as much poise and composure as when you entered.
If you feel your own knowledge of cocktails is sadly lacking, then stock up your sorry drinks cabinet (the six-pack of Carlton in the fridge doesn't count) and sign up for 1806's 5-day cocktail-making course. Tom Cruise will have nothing on you in no time!

1806 service is slow and staff were rude. I was not allowed to order drinks from the bar area. Not only did i get told off for coming to the bar to order drinks they still didnt let me order a drink, i had to wait for the bus boy to take the order at our table.

1806 is all table service . My experience could not be further from RJ's . The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and approachable. They really know how to make a great drink. :)

1806 was a great experience. The venue's interior is all high ceilings, chesterfields and a warm glow - perfect for kicking back and familiarising yourself with the extensive cocktail list. The bartenders here are attentive and full of showmanship, minus the arrogance. If anything they were refreshingly quirky. The drinks, once decided upon, are made speedily and in an entertaining manner, but are also punchy. Worth a visit.
