La La Land is the stage name of that most (in)famous of Hollywood cities; Los Angeles. From its flashy street names and celebrity restaurants to the porn studios and STI clinics, this city has it all. Well, a badly kept secret is that you can enjoy your very own slice of LA - minus the STIs - right in the Melbourne CBD. La La Land has been thrilling the palates and ears of this city's hip, young things going on several years now, creating a decent after-work destination for those wanting a little more than a simple place to fall down. Sidle up the stairs and enter a wonderland of bliss, booze and orange and brown couches.
Billing itself as your very own lounge room (albeit, one you'll be ejected from if you even think about ralfing), this bar houses a modest selection of wines, spirits and cocktails, with savvy staff to mix you up a treat, pronto. Once you're decked in your favourite beverage, take your seat in one of the many velour sofas and chairs littered throughout the venue and settle in for an evening of jazzy house beats, disco-infused rhythms and smooth R&B.

Matt: Im not sure if i went on a particular night but every one in the place was gay. i was hit on by 5 guys and when i went to the bathroom two guys come out of the same block. i dont have anything against gays. i just wanted to know if it was a gay bar or not. cause i felt very uncomfortable there.
