Striker: Sit back, relax and take in the world from the glorious balcony of Madame Brussels. On a balmy summer evening there?s no finer venue for a catch up and a cold one, but be there by six, or you?ll be waiting for a seat. The punches are delicious (buy them by the jug), and the toasties are pretty good too. The only downside of this otherwise excellent venue is that the service is excruciatingly slow, so you?re better off heading to the bar, than waiting for service to come to you. (13 December 2006)

Amanda Roberts: In a word: FUN! Unsuspecting passers-by would never guess what's upstairs at Madame Brussels. Gotta love all the staff dressed like they're going to the tennis, retro-style. Try the Rose Petal Punch - its awesome!! Great place to hang out on the balcony when its warm. (13 December 2006)
