Get on board the train of life with Charlie, the high-flying executive bound for self-analysis as he propels himself towards baffling questions of identity. This dark and funny play bends the edges of reality in an already-twisted 21st century, providing a new look at what really makes us who we are.
How to Disappear Completely and Never be Found was awarded the Arts Council England John Whiting Award for New Writing in 2005 before it had even graced the stage, making it the first un-produced play to ever win the award. The Arts Council England John Whiting award recognises works that extend the bounds of dramatic writing and speak to the society of the day.
Hoy Polloy's artistic director Wayne Pearn is particularly excited to be the first in Australia to produce this play by Fin Kennedy, whom he considers an important voice in contemporary theatre, and promises that his play "will electrify audiences and undoubtedly attract a new breed of theatre follower."
The long-time Hoy Polloy member Paul King (Frozen, Boston Marriage) takes the director reins of this production, which stars David Passmore, Tory Rodd, Michael F Cahill, Glen Hancox and Helen Hopkins.
