While he may be only as tall as the average 12-year-old, Anthony Callea's voice is as big as any in the business. The Melbourne-born singer was the runner-up in the 2004 season of Australian Idol but went on to make Australian music history when his debut single The Prayer became the fastest- and highest-selling single in the country.
Now Australian audiences have to chance to witness Callea perform his stage show complete with a live band and a barrage of hits, including the aforementioned smash single. The performance marks Callea's only Australian performance for the year, not including his current stint in hit musical Wicked, where his portrayal of the character Boq has received high praise from both audiences and critics alike. Callea takes a night off from Wicked to deliver this special celebratory concert.
Making the night even more noteworthy is a performance from critically acclaimed stage and screen entertainer and partner of Callea, Tim Campbell. Following the concert and his run in Wicked, ARIA Award winner Callea will step into the studio to begin work on his third album.
