HOW SPACEMAKER WORKS
At your initial enquiry we will obtain details of your project:
Address
Brief description of works
Time frame
Budget
At this time you will be advised of the approximate time when a consultant will phone you to arrange an appointment at your home to discuss your requirements in detail.
At the first appointment our Designer will:
Listen to your ideas, give you some of his, and then together come up with a concept of the best way of extending/altering your home.
Discuss what will be included and how we will go about the building works
Give you an idea of the sort of budget figure that will be required for the project.
Should you feel confident to proceed, the designer will:
Take construction and site details and measure your home.
Then, back at the office, prepare a design proposal plan.
Produce a brief outline specification and budget estimate.
If you are happy with the concept, a fee of 1% is paid and:
We will then carry out detailed site investigations (incl. an Engineer's soil test).
Produce a very detailed specification.
Calculate a fixed price.
Upon acceptance of these details, we produce the working drawings and apply for the building permit (also a town planning permit if required)
A detailed contract specifying payment schedules can then be signed and works are able to commence.
