History

Arthur Murray first started teaching

people to dance in 1912. He founded

his first dance studio in 1923 from a

"learn by mail" business; we now

have over 200 studios throughout

the United States, Canada, Australia,

South Africa, Israel, Italy and Germany.


The Arthur Murray Dance Studios are

individually owned and franchised to

operate under agreements with Arthur

Murray International, Incorporated.


Arthur Murray standardised lessons are

interchangeable from one studio to

another and the lessons will be honored

wherever there is an Arthur Murray Studio.
